PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Florida volleyball team will face a pair of Gulf South Conference opponents on the road this weekend. West Florida (17-6, 10-3 GSC) will play Christian Brothers on Friday, Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. CT before facing Union (Tenn.) on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. CT.
SOPHOMORES STEPPING UP FOR UWFA trio of sophomores are leading UWF offensively this season in kills.

Holly Mattmuller and
Corisha Smith all have over 125 kills this season with Bidlack leading the way with 170 kills at a .268 clip. The trio have also accounted for 92 blocks on the year while Mattmuller and Smith have also combined for 20 service aces.
THREE GSC LOSSES FOR FIRST TIME SINCE 2006The University of West Florida dropped its' third Gulf South Conference match of the season on the road Tuesday at Valdosta State. The last time UWF had three conference losses in the regular season was in 2006. The Argonauts had a total of six conference losses during a six-season stretch from 2007-2013.
ARGOS DROP OUT OF AVCA TOP 25 POLLThe UWF volleyball program dropped out of the AVCA D-II Top 25 Coaches Poll this week for the first time in 31 weeks, a streak that stretches back to September 10, 2012. West Florida was ranked in the top 25 for the remainder of the 2012 season before earning a top-25 ranking for the entirety of the 2013 season. UWF was ranked in the poll for the first seven weeks this season.
SEVEN REGULAR SEASON GSC MATCHES REMAINThere are seven Gulf South Conference matches remaining during the regular season and West Florida is currently tied with Valdosta State for second in the standings with a 10-3 conference record. Shorter currently ranks first in the GSC with a 12-1 record in conference play. UWF will play host to Shorter on Nov. 4 at 6 p.m.
