Match Notes: UWF volleyball to wrap up regular season

West Florida volleyball comes in at No. 7 in second round on NCAA DII South Region Rankings

West Florida came in at No. 7 in the latest NCAA South Region Poll.
PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Florida volleyball team will wrap up the regular season this weekend by facing West Georgia on the road on Thursday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. ET before playing host to Mississippi College on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. CT.

West Florida was ranked in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) South Region Poll for the second consecutive week. West Florida (22-6, 15-3 GSC) has an 18-6 record in the south region this year and ranks No. 7 in the second NCAA Region Poll of the year.

ARGOS AVENGE LOSS TO SHORTER ON TUESDAY
The University of West Florida volleyball team avenged a regular-season road loss by defeating Gulf South Conference opponent Shorter 3-1 (25-23, 25-16, 25-27, 25-22) at home on Tuesday night. West Florida (22-6, 15-3 GSC) handed Shorter its second conference loss of the season after holding the Lady Hawks to a .160 team attacking percentage on Tuesday.

SCOTTY MOVES INTO FOURTH IN CAREER BLOCKS
UWF senior middle Sarah Scott moved into fourth place on the career blocks list at West Florida last weekend. Scott currently has 287 career blocks, and recently passed former teammate Abby Timmer (252; 2010-13). The senior needs 5 more blocks to pass former teammate, and current graduate assistant coach Jenny Bellairs (291; 2010-13). Scott currently ranks third in the GSC in blocks per set (1.03).
