Live Stats/Video PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 19-ranked University of West Florida volleyball team will face a pair of Gulf South Conference opponents on the road this weekend. West Florida will face Alabama Huntsville on Friday, October 9 at 7 p.m. CT before facing North Alabama on Saturday, October 10 at 2 p.m. CT.
North Alabama is currently tied with Valdosta State for second place in the GSC standings with a 7-1 conference mark, while Alabama Huntsville is tied for fourth place with Shorter in the Gulf South Conference with a 5-3 record in conference play.
CORISHA SMITH BRINGS DOWN THE HAMMERUWF junior outside
Corisha Smith tied her career best for kills in a match with 18 in a win over Valdosta State on October 6. Smith had 18 kills on 37 attempts with only one attack error at a .459 clip in the win over VSU. Smith currently ranks second on the team in total kills this season (122).
SITTING ATOP THE GSCWest Florida is the only undefeated team in Gulf South Conference play this season after knocking off the reigning GSC Tournament Champion Valdosta State on October 6. UWF boasts a 111-9 record in regular season conference matches dating back to the start of the 2007 season (.925). UWF will look to avenge last season's regular-season road loss to North Alabama this weekend in Florence, Ala.
DUYN CLIMBING CAREER KILLS/DIGS LISTAutumn Duyn ranks fourth in career kills at West Florida (1,211), just 80 kills behind her former teammate Lindsey Homme (2009-13) and Chelsea Wilhoite (2007-2010) who both have 1,291 career kills. The Venice, Florida, native recently moved into second place on the career digs list at West Florida and has 1,323 digs in her career.
ARGOS RANK NO. 19 AVCA DII TOP 25 COACHES POLLUWF earned the No. 19 ranking in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll after going 3-0 over the past week against Gulf South Conference opponents. UWF is the only team currently ranked or receiving votes in the AVCA DII Top 25 Coaches Poll from the GSC, and one of four teams representing the south region in the latest poll. This is the fifth consecutive week that the Argonauts have appeared in the top 25 poll.
UWF LIBEROS DIGGING INTO HISTORYJunior
Tori Martella currently ranks first the GSC in digs per set (5.07) and leads the Argonauts with 274 digs this season. Martella ranks sixth in career digs at West Florida (949) and needs 56 digs to move into fifth place on the career digs list. Senior

LOOKING FOR 20 STRAIGHT WINS AGAINST UAHWest Florida has won 19 consecutive matches against Alabama Huntsville dating back to October 25, 2003.
