Match Notes: Week 11Live Stats/Video PENSACOLA, Fla. – The No. 20-ranked University of West Florida volleyball team will play host to the 2015 Gulf South Conference Volleyball Tournament this weekend in the UWF Field House on November 21-22. This will be the sixth time that UWF has hosted the GSC Tournament and the first time since 2013.
West Florida has won six GSC Tournament Championships and will be looking to win its seventh conference championship in the last eight years this weekend.
Top-seeded West Florida (27-5, 19-1 GSC) will face No. 4 seed Shorter (17-10, 14-6 GSC) in the first semifinal match on Saturday, November 21 at 1:30 p.m. CT. No. 2 seed North Alabama (24-7, 17-3 GSC) will face No. 3 seed Valdosta State (24-6, 17-3 GSC) in the second semifinal match at 3:30 p.m. CT.
The GSC Tournament Championship will be on Sunday, November 22 at 12:30 p.m. CT.
The first 150 students with a valid UWF ID will receive free admission into the GSC sponsored event. The single-day pass is $5 and the two-day tournament pass is $8.

ARGOS HOLD AT NO. 5 IN LATEST REGIONAL RANKINGSUWF held at No. 5 in the third set of NCAA Division II Volleyball South Region rankings. West Florida has a 21-3 in-region record and is the highest ranked team out of the Gulf South Conference in the latest regional rankings. West Florida has the third-highest winning percentage in matches against in-region opponents among the South Region teams that appeared in the regional rankings.
The Sunshine State Conference, the Gulf South Conference and Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference volleyball tournament champion will receive an automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA DII South Regional Championship. Five at-large bids will be awarded based on the NCAA South Region Poll after the conference champions have been set.
UWF RANKS IN AVCA TOP 25 POLL FOR 11TH STRAIGHT WEEKUWF jumped two spots to No. 20 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll. West Florida is the only team currently ranked or receiving votes in the AVCA DII Top 25 Coaches Poll from the GSC, and one of four teams representing the South Region in the latest poll. This is the 11th consecutive week that the Argonauts have appeared in the top 25 poll.
A RECORD SIX ARGOS NAMED ALL-GSCUWF had a record six student-athletes named to the 2015 All-Gulf South Conference Volleyball Team, it was announced Monday. This marks the first time in the history of the conference that six volleyball student-athletes from one team earned All-GSC honors in the same year.

Corisha Smith earned All-GSC Second Team honors.
DUYN EARNS FOURTH ALL-GSC FIRST TEAM HONORSenior
Autumn Duyn earned All-GSC First Team honors for the fourth time in her career, becoming the first player in program history and the seventh player in conference history to be earn first team all-conference honors four times. Duyn ranks fifth in the GSC in kills per set (3.12) this season and ranks second on the team in digs per set (3.34).
STCYR A THREAT FROM THE SERVICE LINEUWF sophomore setter
Monique StCyr ranks No. 15 in NCAA DII in service aces per set (0.52) and currently leads the GSC in service aces (53) this season. StCyr is averaging 0.73 service aces per set over the last 10 matches and has 24 service aces during the 10-match stretch. The sophomore already ranks sixth in career service aces (97) in UWF volleyball program history.
