VALDOSTA, Ga. – The West Florida softball team dropped the third game of its series at No. 2 Valdosta State Sunday afternoon.
The Argonauts (1-12, 0-6 GSC) had five different players record hits against the six-time defending GSC champion Blazers (14-2, 5-1).
Kayla Rosario (Pensacola, Fla./Pensacola State) led the Argo offense, driving in two runs with a single in the top of the fourth. West Florida totaled five hits in the game, while the Blazers tallied 11.
Kalyn Chapman (Boonville, Ind./Wabash Valley JC) was credited with loss after pitching just 1.2 innings.
Rebecca Hein (Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia Hills HS) came on in relief after threw 2.1 innings.
UWF travels to Montevallo, Ala. to play Montevallo in a doubleheader Wednesday, Feb. 25 beginning at 3 p.m.
