No. 20 West Florida volleyball team earns a pair of wins over West Georgia and Spring Hill

PENSACOLA, Fla. – University of West Florida head coach Melissa Wolter tallied her 300th win as head coach at UWF as the No. 20-ranked UWF volleyball team defeated West Georgia 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-17) and Spring Hill 3-0 (26-24, 25-18, 25-22) on Saturday.

"One of the things that I've always said is that I have been blessed to work with some really good people at the University of West Florida," UWF athletic director Dave Scott said. "Melissa is a great representative for our institution. She recruits quality student-athletes year in and year out who represent the university really well. She's had great success during her 13 years here at UWF. Hitting her 300th win is really special not only for her but for the institution."

Wolter earned her 300th career win during the 2013 season, and has a 336-157 career record between UWF and Wisconsin-Parkside. She has the second most Division II wins among active head coach in the Gulf South Conference and has the highest winning percentage among active head coaches in the GSC.

"I think it's a great milestone, it makes me think to back when I got hired and the vision that I had for this program," head coach Melissa Wolter said. "It makes me think of all of the staff members that I've been fortunate to work with, and all of the players that I've been blessed to coach."
