Bell picks up two goals, one assist in UWF win

COLUMBUS, Ga.
– The University of West Florida women's soccer team improved its record to 2-0 with a 3-1 win over Lynn University on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Daryl Bell (Sarasota, Fla./Southeast HS) scored two goals and added an assist in her first multi-goal game at UWF.

Junior Kaley Ward (Saint Cloud, Fla./Tampa) got the UWF offense started with a goal in the 14th minute, following a shot that was put on by Bell and blocked by a Lynn defender. Bell was credited with her first assist of the season on the play.

Bell scored the first of her two goals in the 34th minute, following a deflection on a corner kick from Sara Helgadottir (Grindav'k, Iceland/Menntask'linn ' K'pavogi) that landed at Bell's feet. Bell scored her second goal in the 71st minute on a pass from Svenja Burkhardt (Bad Salzuflen, Germany/Gymnasium Heepen), who was credited with the assist.

The next match for UWF will be Friday, September 11, against Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, at 2:30 p.m. ET.
