PENSACOLA, Fla. – For the ninth time in the last 10 years, the University of West Florida volleyball team will be heading to the Gulf South Conference Championship match after a 3-0 (25-11, 25-19, 25-12) sweep of No. 4-seeded Christian Brothers on Saturday afternoon.
UWF posted its most impressive offensive showing of the match in the first set, recording a .417 hitting percentage in the game.

Jordyn Poppen each recorded four kills in the set, while
Kathryn Torre was 3-for-4 on her swings in the first set. UWF opened up the set on an impressive 8-0 run, which included four
Monique StCyr service aces, before cruising for the remainder of the set to a 25-12 win.
The Argos held an 18-14 advantage in the second set before CBU rattled off a 3-0 run to cut UWF's lead to just one. After a UWF timeout, West Florida went on a 5-1 run to put the set out of reach and eventually clinch the set 25-19.
The Argonaut's defensive abilities were on display in the third set, holding CBU to a -.031 attack percentage in a 25-12, third set victory.
Tori Martella led the defense with seven digs in the third set, while offensively,
Rachel Neblett went 3-for-3 on her swings.
Torre led UWF with a match-best nine kills and .500 hitting percentage, while StCyr and Martella recorded match-highs with 32 assists and 14 digs, respectively. UWF held CBU to a .047 attack percentage for the match.
UWF will await the winner of the North Alabama and Shorter match in tomorrow's GSC Championship, which is slated for a 1:00 p.m. start.
