PENSACOLA, Fla. –Â
Austin Somerfield posted a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds to help lead the West Florida men's basketball team to a 75-59 win over Christian Brothers at the UWF Field House on Thursday.

The win marked the second-consecutive for UWF (5-16, 4-14 Gulf South) which shot 51 percent from the floor and held a 36-30 rebounding advantage.

Mario Stramaglia added 17 off the bench with 11-of-12 from the free throw line.
Deangelo Legrier recorded his second-highest game of the year with 16 points on 5-of-6 shooting and a perfect 6-of-6 at the line.

The Argos never trailed in the contest, taking an early 6-0 lead before the Bucs cut the margin to 6-5. UWF pulled a way and led between four and 11 points the majority of the half before ending the period on a 6-0 run over the final 1:45 for a 38-24 lead.

The UWF run continued in the second half as the Argos scored the first 13 points of the frame, stretching their lead to 51-24 via 19-0 run.

Christian Brothers worked the deficit down to seven with 7:25 to play before another 12-4 UWF outburst made it a comfortable 15-point game with 3:18 to play.

CBU (11-13, 9-9) was led by Jordan Miller's 24 points and six rebounds. Jeff Larkin had 19 and was 4-of-11 from outside. The Bucs shot 26 percent and were just 14-for-25 at the charity stripe.

UWF will try to extend its win streak to three games on Saturday when it plays host to Union (17-7, 11-7) at the UWF Field House. Tip-off is set for 4:00 p.m. and the game is part of a doubleheader with the women's team as the Cancer Awareness Pink Game.
