BOX SCORE VALDOSTA, Ga. – The No. 6-ranked University of West Florida women's tennis team fell to the No. 5-ranked Lynn University Fighting Knights 1-8 on a neutral court in Valdosta, Georgia on Saturday. West Florida (6-1, 4-0 GSC) drops its first match of the year after starting the season with six straight wins.
Lynn's No. 1-ranked doubles team of Diana Bogolii and Rosie Willig defeated junior

Dianna Vlad (Oberhausen, Germany) 8-3 at number one doubles.
Senior
Nina Bubelova (Povazska Bystrica, Slovakia) and junior
Paula Lopez (Tucumán, Argentina) dropped their first contest of the season to Carolina Cuevas and Grace Mpassy in a close match at number two doubles by a score of 7-9.
Freshman
Valeria Mantilla (Bogotá, Colombia) and senior
Giovana Patitucci (Sao Paulo, Brazil) fell to Alina Jane and Martina Gledacheva 5-8 at number three doubles.
Senior
Sarai Flores (Mexico City, Mexico) earned her second win over a nationally ranked opponent with a 4-6, 7-5, 10-3 win over No. 20 Gledacheva at number five singles.
Toro fell to No. 8 Bogolii 3-6, 6-7 at number one singles while Lopez dropped her first match of the season with a 3-6, 3-6 loss to No. 23 Willig at number two singles.
Vlad fell to Mpassy 0-6, 0-6 at number three singles while No. 32
Katarina Dikosavljevic (Queensland, Australia) fell to Cuevas 7-6, 3-6, 6-10 at number four singles.
No. 42 Bubelova fell to Jane 3-6, 2-6 at number six singles.
West Florida will next face No. 37 Florida Tech on Sunday, February 28 at 8 a.m. on a neutral court in Valdosta, Georgia.
