GSC TOURNAMENT HOMEPAGE
PENSACOLA, Fla. – With a 7-7-1 overall record and a 5-5-1 mark in Gulf South Conference play, the University of West Florida men's soccer team has earned the 6-seed for the upcoming GSC Championships and will head to Mississippi College for a first round matchup on Tuesday.
Despite a 1-1 weekend to end the regular season, the team has been playing some of its best soccer in the last 10 matches. With a 6-3-1 record in that stretch, West Florida has scored just under two goals per game and has held its opponents to a 0.77 goals against average, and the team has been even better in its last four games, outscoring the opposition 11-3 and going 3-1.
Historically, UWF has been the best team in the GSC Tournament, with a 24-7-2 all-time record in 18 appearances in the tourney. UWF also has a substantial lead in finals appearances (13) and conference titles (9).

Erick Rivera and
Barrett Mills have led the attack in the last few weeks, with six, five and four points in the last four games, respectively. Love has three goals in that span, Rivera has two and an assist, and Mills has a goal and two assists. All three have recorded a game-winning goal in the last four games.
MC took a 2-0 win at UWF earlier this year, with Marco Profumo scoring twice in the effort.
