UWF (18-4, 13-3 Gulf South) shot 38 percent but made seven 3-pointers and were 17-of-24 at the foul line. The seven long balls were tied for the second-most this season for the Argonauts, who swept the home-and-home series with both MC and Delta State for the second-consecutive season.

She had two triples in the fourth quarter to keep the Lady Choctaws from getting too close, including one from the corner that halted an 8-0 MC run and put UWF up 66-56 with 1:30 to play.
Shami Goodman came off the bench to score 12 points.
Courtney Meyer had eight points, 16 rebounds and altered a season-best seven shots, while
Alex Coyne handed out a season-high 11 assists.
MC (10-9, 7-8) was led by Cotrice Golden's 15 points down low on 7-of-10 shooting. The Lady Choctaws shot 37 percent and committed 21 turnovers.
UWF scored the first 12 points in the game over a 6:34 period before MC flipped the script and got the next five baskets to trim the margin to 12-10 after the opening frame.
Following an O'Neal three to open the second, the Lady Choctaws managed to secure their first lead of the contest at 17-15, just 2:12 into the quarter. The Argos used an 11-2 run to regain control at 26-19 with a minute left in the half. Then the scoring picked up as MC outscored UWF 6-5 with a 3-pointer and a 3-point play. UWF led 31-25 at the break.
UWF jumped out with the first six points in the second half to push the lead into double digits. From there, the Argos methodically pulled away, stretching the lead to 14 midway through the quarter and 16 with 2:12 left. MC put up the final six to end the third trailing the Argos 52-42.
The lead was trimmed to 54-48 a minute into the fourth before O'Neal connected from downtown to shift the momentum back to UWF, starting a 9-0 run that extended the lead to 63-48 with 6:22 remaining.
UWF will return home next week for games against Christian Brothers and Union, Thursday and Saturday, respectively. Thursday's contest at the UWF Field House with CBU (12-8, 9-7) will start at 5:30 p.m., with the men's game to follow.
