VALDOSTA, Ga. – Senior
Toni Brewer had 17 points and 14 rebounds to help lead UWF to a 75-50 win over Fort Valley State in the GSC-SIAC Challenge at The Complex on Saturday.
Brewer's double-double was the 37th of her career as she was 5-of-12 from the floor and made 7-of-8 at the free throw line.

Halee Nieman added 16 points and seven rebounds while sophomore
Danielle Norquest posted a career-high 16 points on 5-of-9 shooting with three rebounds in 22 minutes.
"Fort Valley challenged us in ways we can't do to ourselves in practice and that was something we needed early in the season," UWF head coach
Stephanie Lawrence Yelton said. "We had good balance with three players in double figures."
UWF outrebounded FVSU 49-36 and scored 36 points in the paint. The Argos shot 44 percent and got the free throw line 32 times, making 23 for 72 percent.
The Argos got timely runs late in the first and second quarters to turn the momentum in their favor. A 6-1 stretch at the end of the first gave UWF a 14-12 lead before an 11-2 skein to close the half sent the Argos into the locker room up 29-21.
UWF then opened the third quarter on an 11-0 run to put the game out of reach. They got their largest lead of the game at the end of the third with a 60-34 advantage.
FVSU (0-2) shot just 24 percent and was led by Alicia Franklin's 22 points.
UWF will return to Georgia next weekend for the UNG Nighthawk Classic in Dahlonega. The Argos will face tournament-host North Georgia (2-0) on Friday and Georgia College on Saturday.
