Callan Taylor Lately
* After hitting .667 with a pair of home runs and seven RBIs in the weekend series against Alabama Huntsville, Callan Taylor was named the Gulf South Conference Player of the Week. This is the first weekly conference honor in Taylor's career, and she is the first Argonaut to earn the honor this year.
* Taylor, a sophomore from Navarre, Florida, led UWF in batting (.667), hits (6), home runs (2), RBIs (7), total bases (13), slugging (1.444) and on-base percentage (.727) in the UAH series and she had at least one extra-base hit and one RBI in each game of the series.
* She belted her first home run of the weekend in the second game of the Saturday doubleheader, when she tied the game at 5-5 in the fifth inning. That round-tripper gave her four RBIs for the game, marking the second time she has driven in four runs in a game in her career and the first time she has done so this year.
* The sophomore leads UWF with 18 RBIs and is now hitting .328 and slugging .517, both of which rank third on the team. She has been outstanding in the month of March, hitting .444 with team highs in hits (16) and RBIs (16), while ranking second in total bases (25), doubles (3) and home runs (2). Taylor has at least one RBI in six of her last seven games.

Home Sweet Home
* The Argos will be back at the UWF Softball Complex for a second week in a row, holding a 3-3 record at home this year.
* West Florida is hitting .349 at the friendly confines through six games, averaging more than six runs per game and slugging .562.
* Callan Taylor has led UWF in hitting (.625), hits (10), RBIs (11), slugging (1.125) and on-base percentage at home so far, while Kathleen Smiley (.462, 3 doubles) and Mika Garcia (.400, .733 slugging) have been outstanding as well.

You Can't Be Wrong If You're...
* Rachel Wright has been on fire over the last 12 games, hitting .417 with 10 runs scored, a .639 slugging percentage, and team highs with 15 hits and 8 doubles. The biggest of those hits was a walkoff single on Sunday against Alabama Huntsville.
* She has hit .529 (9-17) with the bases empty and .375 (3-8) with two outs in her last 12 games, and she has reached five of the eight times she has led off an inning since then.
* The doubleheader at Spring Hill on March 7 proved to be a huge day for Wright, when she went 3-6 with three doubles, three runs scored and two RBIs in the doubleheader. She followed that by going 3-5 with two doubles and two runs against Christian Brothers in a Monday doubleheader.

Argos in the GSC
