Against the Lady Flames
* Lee enters the weekend at 18-22 overall and 7-14 in the GSC this year. UWF is familiar with Lee, having beaten the Lady Flames in Pensacola in the South Super Regional last season. West Florida took those games 2-0 and 7-6 to advance to the NCAA Championship.
* Taylor Moran and Leigh Beatenbough have been the stars for the Lady Flames through the first two months of the season. Moran ranks in the top 10 in the conference in batting (.442), slugging (.792), OBP (.568), runs scored (33), hits (53), RBIs (48), doubles (10), home runs (10) and walks (24). Beatenbough leads the league in innings pitched (115.2), strikeouts (95) and strikeouts looking (39).
* UWF holds an 8-6 record in the all-time series, with wins in the last six matchups.

The Month of March
* The West Florida offense came alive in March, hitting .352 and averaging 7.1 runs per game on the way to a 12-4 record.
* Four Argos hit .400 or better in March, with Kathleen Smiley leading the team in batting (.484) and on-base percentage (.590). She tallied four doubles and a home run, while Grace Gilbert hit .480 with three doubles, nine RBIs and didn't strike out. Callan Taylor hit .432 with four doubles, three home runs, and a team-high 20 RBIs, and Meghan Toney hit .400 while leading the team in walks (11) for the month.
* The team's 7.1 runs per game, .438 on-base percentage, and .536 slugging percentage in March are the program's best since at least 2010.

Smiley at the Dish
* It would be tough to find a hitter with a better last 15 games than Kathleen Smiley. After finishing the UNA series with a .125 batting average, the junior from Pensacola has hit .467, slugged .700, posted a team-high .564 on-base percentage, recorded five extra-base hits and struck out just one time.
* She lifted a sacrifice fly to last Saturday to give UWF a walkoff win over West Georgia, and she had an RBI in each game of the three-game series. Smiley is also on a five-game hitting streak, batting .500 (7-14) with three RBIs and two doubles in that time.

Gilbert Doing It All
* True freshman Grace Gilbert has impressed in the batter's box as well as the circle in her rookie campaign at UWF. The Chipley, Florida, native ranks sixth in the GSC in batting (.442) and eighth in ERA (2.32), making her the only GSC student-athlete in the top 10 of each category.
* West Florida has earned the win in each of Gilbert's last four appearances in the circle, in which time she has thrown 12.2 innings, gone 3-0, and posted a 1.66 ERA.
* She has also riding a five-game hitting streak, with seven RBIs and eight hits, both of which rank second on the team over the last five games.

Road Warriors
* UWF has played tremendously on the road this year, with an 11-4 record in pure road contests.

Toney leads the team in on-base percentage (.458) and steals (6), Wright leads UWF with 17 hits, 7 doubles, 27 total bases, and a .574 slugging percentage, and Perkins has a team-best 10 RBIs away from the friendly confines of the UWF Softball Complex, along with a .325 batting average.
* To no surprise, the UWF pitching staff has been outstanding on the road.
