UWF came out to play, but so did Union. The first set was an outstanding display of perseverance and just plain good volleyball. In the set, there were 24 tie scores and 11 lead changes. The two teams went back and forth eventually ending with a service ace by Junior Ashton Marshall to put the set away 35-33. The Argos then stepped it up and put away the next two sets keeping UU under 20 points.
Senior Jordyn Poppen lead the offense with 19 kills followed by Veresia Yon with 15 kills on 24 attacks and no errors hitting .625 overall. Senior Ebony Powers lead the team in digs with 21, but also was dominant on the net with 11 kills on 25 attacks, one error hitting .400.Â
Sophomore setter Taylor Vaneekeren played all the way around in the majority of the match racking up 43 assists, nine digs, and two blocks with one jaw dropping solo block.
