Danielle Norquest scores a career-high 20 points

PENSACOLA, Fla.Halee Nieman scored 23 points and Danielle Norquest came off the bench to score a career-high 20 as UWF defeated Mississippi College, 73-61, at the UWF Field House on Saturday.

While Nieman regained the scoring lead in the Gulf South Conference, it was Norquest – her backup at the forward position – who took advantage of foul trouble to the Argo senior. UWF (21-4, 15-3) shot 56 percent overall and from outside on 10-of-18 3-pointers. Norquest and Nieman each made three triples. The Argonaut's win streak extended to 11 games.

Nieman had 11 in the first quarter and 10 points in the final period before fouling out with 90 seconds left. Toni Brewer had 11 points and 14 rebounds for her 18th double-double.

Anna Hall led the defensive rebound effort with 12 boards while handing out 13 assists, tied for the third-most in a game in program history. Hall now has 183 helpers on the year, moving her into third in the UWF single-season record book.

Mississippi College (6-17, 2-15) shot 40 percent, including an 11-for-13 effort in the fourth quarter when the Lady Choctaws trimmed the deficit to 12 points with just over four minutes to play. Lauran Sheriff led the team with 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting.
