Donor Spotlight: Anna Lochas

We'd like to introduce Ms. Anna Lochas, a UWF alumna, UWF employee, and a true Argo fan. Anna graduated from the College of Business and now works as an Administrative Specialist in Academic Affairs. Anna began supporting UWF Athletics in 2015 and has since donated to every single women's sports program. Thank you, Anna, for your continued support!

Why do you give to UWF Athletics?
All of UWF's teams are great and have accomplished so much. I am proud to be an Argonaut and wanted to show my support for UWF Athletics.

Why do you continue to give annually and to every single woman's program?
I understand that women's sports do not always receive the same level of support as men's sports do. I feel it is important to do my part to support the women's teams. I couldn't decide which team to support so I decided I would give to each one of them.

What is your opinion on giving at such a young age?
My age hasn't really been a factor in my decision to give.  I'm lucky that I am able to give now and hope I will be able to continue giving and increase the amount over time.

What impact do you think your annual donations have on the UWF Athletic Department?
While I am not sure exactly how I am impacting each team, I do feel that my gift is helping them to achieve their goals. Whether it's being used for an athletic scholarship, team uniforms, practice equipment, or promotional items, it all helps the team reach their goals.

What makes you passionate about UWF Athletics?
I have been a fan of the Argonauts for most of my life. I used to attend games with my mom and sister when I was a kid, and we continue to attend them today. Having the wonderful opportunity of completing an Internship with Athletics while pursuing my undergraduate degree made me feel even more connected with Athletics and it gave me more appreciation for UWF Athletes.
