MEET INFORMATION
 
PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Florida cross country teams will visit Gainesville, Florida, for the Mountain Dew Invitational on Saturday morning, joining more than 30 other programs at the University of Florida's Mark Bostick Golf Course. This is the fourth time in the last six years that UWF has competed in the Mountain Dew Invitational.
 
The men's 8K is set to begin at 7:55 a.m. ET, and the women's 5K will begin at 8:30 a.m. ET.
 
UWF will not be the only South Region team in the field. Fellow Gulf South Conference members Auburn Montgomery and Valdosta State will be competing, as will nine schools from the Sunshine State Conference.
 
Both West Florida squads got off to strong starts last weekend at the UNA Cross Country Invitational. The men were led by Hailey Myddelton, who finished seventh overall and helped the team to a fourth-place finish. On the women's side, newcomers Valeria Villatoro, Alyssa Langston, and Leah Fenton were UWF's top three finishers, and Villatoro took 16th overall.
