CLINTON, Miss. –
Danielle Norquest had 17 points and 10 rebounds to lead the UWF women's basketball team against Mississippi College at A.E. Wood Coliseum on Saturday.
The Argonauts fell to the Lady Choctaws, 86-59.
UWF (7-19, 3-5 Gulf South) shot 38 percent in the game and committed 25 turnovers.
Norquest turned in her 20th double-double of the year, moving her into second place on the UWF single-season chart.
Toni Brewer holds the record at 21, set last season.
Rachel McCree had 12 points and
Charlotte Ellmore added 11 points, five rebounds and five assists.
MC (11-12, 8-9) had four players in double figures, led by Mikeba Jones with 20 and Moriah Hurst with 18.
The Lady Choctaws scored the first 11 points in the game and led 28-11 after the first quarter. UWF closed to within 11 in the second but never got the margin into single digits.
MC shot 52 percent for the game and had 44 points in the paint.
UWF returns home to close out the season with a pair of home games against Montevallo and Valdosta State. Saturday's game at the UWF Field House against UM is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
