ABOUT UWF
* UWF struggled to start the season, losing its first four games and five of its first six. Since then, the Argos have gone 13-8.
* The Argos went 4-7 on the road in 2019-20 and 4-6 in GSC play, with four of the six losses by single digits.
* UWF has a strong defense that limits opponents to 65.8 points per game on 42 pct. FG shooting. The Argos lead the GSC and rank fourth in the country in 3-point FG defense, holding opposing teams to 30.1 pct. shooting.
*Offensively, the Argos score 65.4 ppg on 41 pct. shooting. While they make just 33 percent from outside, freshman Daniel Sofield and redshirt junior Brett Carter Jr. combine to make 4 makes per game. Each player has multiple games with three or more makes during the season.
* Sophomore Jon Brown leads UWF with 17.6 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game. The 2019 GSC Freshman of the Year has 19 double figure scoring games and three double figure rebounding games. A sophomore from Helena, Ala., he has been the Argos leading scorer 15 times and leading rebounder seven times.

ABOUT ALABAMA HUNTSVILLE

* The Chargers average 75.1 ppg on 45 pct. FG shooting and 35 pct. 3-point FG shooting – both rank sixth in the GSC. UAH leads the league with 10.7 3-pointers made per game. They had made at least 10 triples in six-consecutive games before a 4-for-17 night against Lee on Saturday.

UWF-UAH SERIES HISTORY
* UAH leads the all-time series 40-13 overall and 16-6 in Huntsville. The Argos have lost their last 12 games at Spragins Hall dating back to a 49-47 win on Jan. 10, 2004. UAH won the only postseason meeting, 87-84, in the 2012 GSC Semifinals in Niceville, Fla.
* UWF had a great opportunity to end the streak two years ago. The 15th-ranked Argos led by 21 late in the first half before eventually losing on 91-90 when the Chargers made two free throws with 2.0 seconds remaining.
* Last year, UAH claimed a 62-52 win in the Space City. The Chargers led 52-50 with 5:00 to play before they scored 10-straight to put the game away.
* In the lone meeting this season, UWF secured a 65-60 win over the 12th-ranked Chargers on Dec. 17 at the UWF Field House in Pensacola. The Argos used a 13-2 run in the middle of the second half to erase a 10-point deficit before closing the game on a 12-5 stretch. Jon Brown had 20 points, while Tarik Mckelphin scored all 15 of his in the second half and Daniel Sofield made six 3-pointers. UWF shot 52 percent in the second half and held UAH to just 24 points over the final 20 minutes.

UWF'S GSC TOURNAMENT HISTORY
* This is the 12th GSC Tournament appearance for UWF since its first in 1998. After missing the tourney last year, the 2020 appearance marks the program's third appearance in four years. UWF has made previous appearances in 1998-99-2000-01-02-04-12-13-14-17-18.
* The Argos are 8-10 all-time in the tourney, which includes three wins en route to the 2018 championship. They have advanced to the semifinals six times and the finals once. UWF is 6-5 in GSC quarterfinal games, 1-5 in the semifinals and 1-0 in the finals.
* In the 5-year history of quarterfinal games being played on campus, UWF is 1-1. The Argos lost a heartbreaker at CBU, 65-64, in 2017, before defeating Montevallo, 83-74, in 2018.
* Additionally, road teams have gone 4-16 in the Super Tuesday games with one winner in the 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019. All of the wins were by the five seed over the four seed.

UWF SHORT ON POSTSEASON EXPERIENCE
* Only two members of this year's team were on the roster the last time UWF played in the postseason – starting PG Cameron Cox and backup shooting guard Brett Carter Jr. And neither of those two played in any of UWF's three GSC wins on their way to the 2018 title. Cox did play three minutes in the NCAA Regional against Barry that season.
