BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – UWF linebacker Will Breland was named Freshman of the Week by the Gulf South Conference following a strong performance at North Greenville over the weekend.
 
Breland led the Argonauts with seven tackles as UWF shutout NGU for the final 50 minutes of the 52-10 victory. The Mobile, Alabama native now has 16 tackles and one sack in his first season. This is Breland's second Freshman of the Week award of the season.
 
No. 1 UWF is 5-0 on the season and 2-0 in GSC play. The Argonauts play host to No. 12 West Georgia (5-1, 3-1) at Blue Wahoos Stadium on Saturday at 4 p.m.
