PENSACOLA, Fla- The University of West Florida Women's Soccer fell to Lee University 0-2 on Friday night. The Argos are now 7-2-1 and 3-2-1 in Gulf South Conference action.

During the first half of the match both teams were evenly balanced putting up a tough defense. Neither team was able to score during the first half, limiting the total shots to six. Lee had four shots, while UWF had two. Both teams each had one corner kick.

Kelsey Brann finished the first half with one save.

The second half started with both teams continuing to put a strong defensive effort before the Flames went on an attack. In the 47
th minute Ellie Crislie scored an unassisted goal for the Flames to put them ahead. Shortly after in the 60
th minute, Riley Henry extended Lee's lead 2-0.

Late in the second half the Argos gained momentum and were able to get back to back shots from
Peyton Peffers and
Blair Cowan. However, Lee's goalkeeper Jackie Burns kept the Argo's off the board and finished the game with three saves.

 In the second half the Argos had five shots and held Lee to four. Both teams had one corner kick in the second half. West Florida was able to limit Lee to a season low of eight shots.

Charline Favier finished the game with two saves and allowing two goals.

The Argos will look to bounce back on Sunday, Oct.17 for Senior Day against Shorter. Nadia Kuchambia, Kiliegh Whited,
Hannah Wooten and
Peyton Peffers will be recognized for their contributions to the program at the start of the game. Sunday's match is set for a 12:30 start.
