MOBILE, Ala- The University of West Florida Women's Soccer team defeated Spring Hill 2-0 for the final regular season match of the season. The Argos finished the regular season with a record of 11-2-2, 7-2-2 GSC.

In the 9
th minute of the game the Argos took an early lead after a UWF corner kick and an own goal by the Spring Hill Badgers.

During the first half of the match UWF outshot SHC 7-1, with six corner kicks. Goalkeeper
Charline Favier faced zero shots during the first half. Spring Hill goalkeeper finished the first half with three saves.

In the second half
Chayse McGirt started the scoring for the Argos in the 58
th minute, with a goal straight through the center. McGirt's goal was assisted by
Blair Cowan.

The goals kept coming in the second half when
Blair Cowan scored low and through the center to extend the Argos to a 3-0 lead, assisted by Kiliegh Whited. The Argos found their sweet spot in the net and in the 78
th minute
Haley Fayard scored the Argos fourth goal of the game, low and through the center.

During the second half UWF outshot SHC 13-0, with five corner kicks. Spring Hill had one corner kick during the second half.

Defensively the Argos were once again dominant across the field, limiting the Badgers to one shot.

Next up the University of West Florida Women's Soccer team begins Gulf South Conference Tournament play on Sunday. The official seeding will be decided Thursday evening after the final conference game has been played by all GSC teams.
