MONTEVALLO, Ala - The UWF men's soccer team finished their weekend in Alabama with a draw against Auburn Montgomery on Sunday evening. The Argos now sit at 5-1-3 on the 2023 season.

The Details

UWF and AUM both came out for the match firing and ready in the play. In the first half, both teams tallied four shots on goal. Fynn Geigle started the shooting for the Argos in just the third minute to get the momentum going. The Argos found a small groove with a few more shots coming in during the first half, but AUM goalkeeper William Blake held strong. 

As the second half commenced, the Argos seemed to find their groove as they maintained a strong possession for the match. The Argos tallied seven shots on the season, but were not able to find the back of the net.

Jaime Guillén led the Argos with three shots on goal, followed by defender Fynn Geigle with two on the evening. 

The Argos are back at home with weekend on Friday, October 13th and Sunday, October 15th as they host Christian Brothers and Union in Gulf Breeze, Fla at Shoreline Park.
