PENSACOLA, Fla. - The UWF women's basketball team suffered a 64-58 loss to Palm Beach Atlantic in the season opener for both teams at the UWF Field House on Friday.

Jaden Langford had 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Argonauts, while Brooke Kane had 11 and Claire Sutherland-Case made a pair of 3-pointers on her way to 10 points.

UWF shot 34 percent, including just 3-of-12 in the third quarter when PBA made its push to take the lead.

The Argos led by 10 at the half, 36-26, before the Sailfish tied it at 42 late in the frame. From there, they outscored UWF 20-14 in the final 10 minutes for the win.

PBA's Kash Ayuso led all players with 17 points.

The Argos outrebounded the Sailfish 50-41.

UWF will be back in action on Saturday when it plays host to No. 9 Eckerd. Tip-off at the UWF Field House is set for 5:30 p.m.
