JACKSON, Tenn. – No. 4 Union made 7-of-13 3-pointers to start the game and held off the UWF women's basketball team for a 100-60 victory at Fred DeLay Gymnasium on Friday.
Tyashia Bostick paced the Argonauts with 26 points, including 16 in the first half.
Delaney Trushel was also in double figures with 10 points.
UWF (7-3, 4-2 Gulf South) shot just 31 percent and committed 30 turnovers.
Union (10-0, 5-0) had five players in double figures as the Lady Bulldogs shot 42 percent overall and made 18-of-51 from outside. Courtney Zensen made six 3-pointers on her way to a team-high 19 points.
Union used a 17-0 run late in the first quarter to build the large lead. They followed with an 18-2 stretch in the second quarter. The teams played the third and fourth quarters even at 21-21 and 11-11.
UWF will return to action on Sunday afternoon at Christian Brothers (1-8, 1-4). Tip-off at Canale Arena in Memphis is set for 1 p.m.
