DALLAS, Texas --- The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announced their second ranking of the season and the University of West Florida baseball team has risen to No. 17 in the national poll with a 7-2 overall record.
 
UWF remains the 3-seed in the South Region behind Tampa (7-2) and Montevallo (9-1).
 
UWF, Montevallo (No. 10), and Valdosta State (No.24) are the only GSC team's that sit in this week's Division II Top-25. Montevallo climbed two spots from last week's poll and this is Valdosta State's first ranking of the season as they were previously receiving votes.
 
The Argos head on the road to Tennessee Friday, Feb. 24 and begin conference play against Union.
