Day 4 Results

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.-
The No. 9 West Florida Swimming and Diving team remains in ninth place after three days of competition.

Stefanie Markwardt earned CSCAA First Team All-American Status in the 100 fly as she finished fourth with a personal best of 53.89. She is tied with former Argonaut Madeline Pitt for most CSCAA all-time finishes with ten. With this time, Markwardt has the second best 100 fly time in program history.

"Stefanie dropped a lot of time from last year, she swam a 55.24 last season, and she swam a 53.89 today. I'm so proud of her and all the hard-work she has done. This is her fourth-year swimming at the NCAA's," commented Kraus.

Markwardt along with Nina Imboden, Brooke Simila, and Morgan Despres finished eleventh in the 400 medley relay touching the wall in 3:44.71. The relay received CSCAA All-American Honorable Mention honors.

"We are getting better throughout the week, we have scored in three relay's already and that is great. In tonight's relay, we had great splits by Brooke Simila and Morgan Despres, who are seeing the pool for the first time this meet. I'm proud of all the girls and I'm excited for what the next two days will bring."

Competition on Friday will feature the 500 free, 100 back, 100 breast, 200 fly, 3-meter diving, and 200 free relay. The prelims will begin at 10 a.m. (EST) followed by finals at 6 p.m. (EST).
