MOBILE, Ala. --- The University of West Florida baseball team set a school record of 23 runs on the road, Wednesday night, in a seven-inning victory.

The old mark was 22 runs versus Lambuth in a seven-inning game in 2011 at Jim Spooner Field.

The Argos had a single game season high of 20 hit and held the Badgers to one.

Jackson Grabsky and
Jacob Bailey led with three hits each and 10 different Argos contributed to the stats.

UWF scored in six of the seven innings played. This was the team's third run-rule game and second run-rule victory over the Badgers this season.

Preston Moore hit an RBI double that sent
Dean Hotz in to score UWF's first run of the game. Moore later scored the second run off a Badger error.

UWF scored two more runs in the second inning and extended the lead to 4-0.

UWF pounded out four runs on three hits in the top of the third. Grabsky hit an RBI single and scored on a wild pitch.
Darrien McDowell capped the scoring with a two RBI sac fly and gained a quick 9-0 lead.

The Badgers one hit came in the bottom of the third and it was a grand slam that gave Spring Hill four runs.

UWF answered with three runs in the fourth and sat pretty at a 12-4 score.

The best inning for the Argos was in the sixth. They scored six runs on seven hits.
Trent Jeffcoat walked on loaded bases and got an RBI. McDowell followed up with a three-run homer. This was McDowell's ninth homerun and 45
th RBI of the season.
Chris Johnson ended the inning with his first double of the season that sent to runners in to score.

UWF entered the seventh inning up, 18-4. The five runs scored in the seventh frame uplifted the team to setting a new school record.

Parker Wakeman got his first start for the Argos and received a no decision.
Jacob Heath entered to pitch in the fifth inning and got the win. This is Heath's second win of the season. Seven strikeouts were thrown between the five UWF pitchers that saw game action.

Up next, the Argos will play their final regular season home series against West Alabama. The series will start with a single game Friday, April 21 at 5:00 p.m. and follow with a doubleheader on Saturday, April 22 at 1:00 p.m. at The Spoon.
