CARROLLTON, Ga. --- The University of West Florida baseball team won Friday's game on the road in a 3-0 victory. UWF (22-14 overall, 13-8 GSC) gave West Georgia their first 3-0 series loss of the season and is tied with the Wolves in the Gulf South Conference standings at third.

The Wolves (25-11 overall, 13-8 GSC) were held to five hits and totaled eight runners left on base throughout the game.

Jadon Fryman went 2-for-4 in the series finale with six other players totaling a hit. Eight walks were given to the Argos during the nine innings of play.

The game started off strong for the Argos as they managed to load the bags with two walks and a hit, but were unable to get any runs in. Transitioning to the second inning, UWF got three walks in a row to load the bases again.
Dean Hotz stepped up to the plate and was hit by pitch to earn an RBI and take a 1-0 lead.

Jacob Bailey recorded his second start of the weekend and hit an RBI single that allowed Fryman to score the go-ahead run.

The third and final Argonaut run occurred in the seventh frame. Darrien led off the inning with a walk. He advanced to second on a hit before a wild pitch allowed him to be placed at third.
Preston Moore stepped up to bat and hit an RBI double down the left field line.

In seven innings pitched, right hander
Major Posey allowed just four hits and threw four strikeouts. His win has improved him to 5-2 on the season.

Salvatore Ferro closed out the game for UWF and got his first save. In eight batters faced, he threw three strikeouts and allowed one hit in the final two offensive appearances for the Wolves.

UWF returns home to Jim Spooner Field on Friday, April 14 and will take on Auburn Montgomery in a three-game series.
