WEST FLORIDA 3, CHARLESTON 0 (25-13, 25-10, 25-13)

The hosts put forth its most dominant performance of the young season in its 3-0 result over the Golden Eagles of Charleston by claiming every category on the stat sheet. UWF outhit the visitors from West Virginia .438 to .000, holding them to an offensive high mark of 0.087 in the first set, a negative output in the second and net zero in the final frame.

The Argos completely flipped a 4-3 deficit in the opening set with a massive 13-1 run and rode the advantage to the 1-0 lead. UWF put together five straight points in the second set, headed by consecutive aces from Izabelle Sanchez, the first of several sustained runs in the second and third frames to put itself on the fast track to sweeping the Golden Eagles. Gabi Moulton came up with back-to-back aces to ice this one.

Four Argonaut hitters reached .500 across all three frames. Bailee Sterling led the way with 10 kills on .533 hitting. Jacque Martin and Jenna Zydlo both reached .556, and Avery Rodgers registered seven kills. Sanchez and Moulton combined for 31 assists and six aces.

WEST FLORIDA 3, FLAGLER 2 (25-17, 25-16, 25-27, 23-25, 15-8)

The Argos started 2-0 for the second time today, but Flagler, playing much stronger than their 1-7 record, came from behind to tie the contest before UWF stole the momentum back to win. The hosts offensively outperformed the Saints 0.5 to 0.154 in the first set and 0.393 to 0.176 in the second before Flagler flipped the script, winning the hitting battle 0.194 to 0.031 in the third and 0.364 to 0.103 in the fourth. UWF rallied from set points in the middle frame before the Saints tallied the final three to take control of the pace of the game and continue it into the next-to-last frame.

After building a strong 8-3 beginning to the tiebreaking set with the last three points via two Zydlo kills and a bad set, the visitors used a 5-1 run to get back into the match. However, the last six points came courtesy of the Argonauts with three errors and kills by Annie Monaco, Martin and Rodgers.
