CLINTON, Miss - The Argonauts finished their weekend two game series in Clinton with a draw against Delta State Sunday afternoon. UWF opens GSC with two ties on the season. 

How it Happened
Scoring opened for the match when Keegan Lynch sent a fantastic cross into the box in hopes to find a teammate to put it in the back of the net. Sure enough, Keegan Ancelin was there, but a Delta State Statesman deflected the ball and it ended in the back of the net. 

The scoring remained the same as the teams headed into the locker room for halftime. Just 15 minutes into the second half, Delta State answered with a goal by Hardy Lewis. The Argos and the Statesman rallied back and forth for the remainder of the match, but the game would end in a draw. 

Additional Information

The Argos outshot the Statesman 11-6 on the day, and both teams played a physical match with eight fouls against the Argos and 13 against the Statesman. 

Center backs Austin Marshick and Eduardo Pampolini registered 90 minutes, with 17 players seeing the pitch for the Argos. 

UWF plays their first home match of the season versus cross-town Eagles of Pensacola Christian on Thursday, September 21st at 6 pm.
