PENSACOLA, Fla. - The No. 16 Argonauts (9-4, 3-0 GSC) return home after coming from behind to win in a five-set thriller at Mississippi College on Tuesday to play its next five matches at UWF Field House. The stretch begins on Friday with a 6 p.m. tipoff against Union (3-12, 2-1 GSC). The Argos then take on Christian Brothers (2-12, 1-2 GSC) on Saturday at 1 p.m. before the team goes for a regular-season sweep of West Alabama (3-11, 1-3 GSC) when the Tigers make the return trip to Pensacola on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Friday night will be the team's inaugural Neon Night, and the first 100 students will receive free neon wristbands. Saturday marks Youth Team Day sponsored by Patriot Nutrition, and the team will be available to sign autographs in the lobby after the game.Â

With the Mississippi College win and its sweeps of West Alabama and Auburn Montgomery last week, UWF enters the Union game in second place in the GSC standings behind Valdosta State. The Lady Bulldogs sit in fifth after conference wins against Christian Brothers and Mississippi College. CBU and UWA are at 10th and 11th place, respectively.Â

Avery Rodgers has been on a tear through the conference slate so far, rising from sixth place a week ago to second in the GSC in hitting percentage with a .340 on her 153 kills through 50 sets on the season. Her .643 performance against AUM last Friday was the second-highest game total for the Argos this season, second only to
Damyah Joyner's .714 outing against Wayne State (Neb.). She also sits in fourth place in the conference in kills per set with 3.06 and in fifth in points with 175 and 3.50 per set.Â

Three of the top 10 players in the GSC in hitting percentage are Argonauts, as
Jenna Zydlo holds onto her spot at fourth with 100 kills on .321 and
Bailee Sterling reaches tenth with 98 on .279. The two middle hitters also rank tenth and fifth in blocks per set with 0.78Â and 0.94, respectively.
Gabi Moulton is now at fourth in the conference with 296 assists and 6.04 per set, and
Meg Brackhan comes in at third in digs with 212, good for 4.16 per set. After tallying nine aces across the AUM and Mississippi College games,
Annie Monaco occupies seventh place in the GSC in the category, with 17 total for an average of 0.44 per frame.

Union, led by a first-year head coach in Kristen Blackburn, features Jordan Moore, who is ninth in the league in hitting with 73 kills on .284 and eighth in blocks with 0.83 per frame, and Gracie Tacker at fifth in assists with 310 and 5.85 per set. Davey Slaughter is ninth in the GSC with 197 digs and 3.72 per set. UWF enters the Friday night match having won 17 of 18 all-time meetings with Union, the lone loss coming in 2016.Â

Christian Brothers is under the guidance of fourth-year head coach Bre Lewis. The Argos have a 20-2 record against the Lady Bucs, with the two losses coming in regular season and postseason matches in 2012, which was the last time the latter made the national tournament.

West Alabama is coached by John Schmidt, in his second season with the Tigers. Amelia Johnigan ranks second in the GSC in aces with 23 and 0.52 per set. Berfin Mertcan, ranking sixth in the conference in assists, and Desiree Blount both had double-digit assists in their matchup with UWF in Livingston last week. Quiara Dunson is eighth in the GSC with 187 digs and 3.82 per frame, and she got 16 against the Argos. UWF has won 38 of 42 meetings in the series with UWA and has won 27 in a row dating back to 2009.Â
