PENSACOLA, Fla. --- The University of West Florida women's soccer team ended in a 1-1 tie to No. 10 Flagler at Ashton Brosnaham Stadium, Friday afternoon.

Each team scored their goals from penalty kicks. Midfielder
Mya Swinton drew the first foul in the box. In the 20
th minute, Swinton attacked the box and was tackled from behind by a Saint defender. Earning a penalty kick, Swinton stepped up to take it and finished it.

The 1-0 lead held on until the 60
th minute.
Maciah Lipsey saw herself in a one versus one battle with a Flagler player. Lipsey's tackle was called a foul and a penalty kick was earned for the Saints. Andrea Fernandez, who drew the foul, hit the penalty kick to bring it to one-all. Â

UWF took 16 shots with only five coming on goal.
Manami Okada led with four shots. The team was followed by Swinton and
Emma Beltz, who recorded her first start, with two shots apiece.

Flagler hit four shots on target and Lipsey tallied three saves.
