PENSACOLA, Fla - The Argos defeated the Montevallo Falcons in a 2-1 win last night—the Argos advance to 5-1-2 on the season, and 3-0-2 in conference play. Reigning GSC Defender of the Week Mar Aegisson and 2nd leading GSC goal-scorer Keegan Ancelin helped secure the win under the lights.

The First 45
The Argos were on the board first as a ball was sent in from one of the seven corner kicks the Argos were awarded. After scrambling shots and deflections, Mar Aegisson found the ball at his feet with an open net right in front of him. The Iceland native scored his third goal of the season to put the Argos up 1-0 in the 40th minute of the match.

The Second 45
UWF took the momentum from the first half to find a possible solidifying goal for the evening. Keegan Ancelin, the number two goal scorer in the GSC, was the answer. After a through ball down the line from captain Caue Novaes, the senior dribbled the ball through the Falcon defenders and buried the ball in the back of the net to put the Argos up 2-0 in the 58th minute. His goal would be his eighth of the season. Montevallo's Jens Krieger found the back of the net for the Falcons in the 73rd minute, but the strong defensive effort by the Argos gave them the win following the final whistle. 

Further Details
Goalkeeper Nicolas Meckien returned for the Argos after suffering an injury a couple of weeks past and earned his first full 90 back. The back line of Keegan Lynch, Oskar Sewtz, Christoph Michelitsch, and Mar Aegisson all earned a 90-minute match (Aegisson 85). The Argos outshot the Falcons 22-5 with nine on target.
