MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of West Florida women's soccer team scored five goals in a shutout win over Christian Brothers University on Friday evening.
Mya Swinton and
Emma Beltz each had two goals and an assist to lead the Argos. Beltz got the scoring started early in the game when the senior scored in the 7th minute. Beltz found the back of the net again in the second half off Swinton's assist.
Swinton scored her sixth and seventh goals of the season to give UWF a 3-0 lead in the game. The redshirt senior had six shots in the game.
Julieta Limardo assisted Swinton's first goal and
Kaytlyn Larsen had the assist on the second goal.
Sydney Garth scored the team's final goal of the game in the 62nd minute.
Maciah Lipsey made one save in 62 minutes of action and
Makenzie Morris made two saves in 28 minutes.
UWF (9-1-2, 7-0-1 GSC) will head to Jackson, Tenn. on Sunday for a matchup with Union at 12:30 p.m.
