MOULTRIE, Ga - The University of West Florida Women's Diving Team travels to Moultrie, Georgia to compete in the annual Diving Invite to kick off their 2024-25 season. Junior Olivia Nelson returns after her standout season, claiming the top spot in both the 1m and 3m dives.

1 Meter (11 Dives)
The Argos swept the top four scores on the 1 Meter springboard. Olivia Nelson took first in her 11 dives on 1m with a final score of 425.05 on the day. The junior is proving she is ready for another great competition season. Adriana Mieses Sanchez took second in her 11 dives with a final score 405.40 on the opening day. Newcomer Kendall Flury earned her first dives in the Argo uniform as the freshman scored 319.65 on the day. The Argos also introduced Connor Kilpatrick to the team as the freshman also joined the day, scoring a 272.65 for her first dives as an Argo.

1 Meter (6 Dives)
Olivia Nelson also took first at the top for her 6 dives championship. The junior placed herself at the top scoring a 255.35 on the day. Adriana Mieses-Sanchez was right there with Nelson, scoring a 2.43.90 to claim second place on the day. Kendall Flury took fifth with a final score of 196.90, and Connor Kilpatrick placed eighth with her final score of 148.90.

A word from Coach Barb: "It's amazing what these ladies have accomplished in such a short amount of time and with limited training. Each diver has put their whole heart into every training session, motivating themselves and each other to succeed.  Now that Olivia and Adriana have made their first step towards Nationals, we know that we are on the right track for continued success through the season."
