HUNTSVILLE, Ala—The University of West Florida women's soccer team advanced to the GSC Finals as the Argos defeated Lee in a stunning 3-0 fashion. The Argos fell to Lee in 2021 and 2022 and finally earned their feat against the Flames.
How It Happened
With just ten minutes remaining in the first half, the GSC Player of the Year did her thing.
Mya Swinton opened the scoring for the Argos as Gabriel Blake dribbled the ball down the left flank. Clarke crossed it in and found Swinton's head to put the Argos up 1-0 heading into the second half.

Emma Beltz got the Argos going in the second half. Beltz danced through the Flame's defenders. Julieta Limbardo found Beltz, and the Kansas native buried the ball in the bottom left corner to put the Argos up 2-0 in the 63rd minute.Â
After assisting one, Limbardo went searching for one of her own.
Kaytlyn Larsen beat the Lee defender, found Limbardo in the middle of the field, beat the Flames defender and the goalkeeper, and then placed the ball into the back of the net for a 3-0 lead in the 78th minute.Â
