MOBILE, Ala. –
Le'Tarion White scored a game-high 20 points coming off the bench to lead the UWF men's basketball team on Thursday night, but it wasn't enough as the Argos fell to Spring Hill, 94-86.
Spring Hill grabbed the lead with 8:23 remaining in the first half and UWF was never able to recapture the lead.
White went 9-of-14 from the field and added six rebounds to his team-leading 20 points.
Zondrick Garrett and
Elijah Wyche both scored 10 points to round out the double-digit scorers.
Spring Hill was led by Walter Peggs Jr. with 40 points.
UWF outrebounded Spring Hill 46-35 and created second chance point opportunities with 20 offensive rebounds. The Argos scored 22 points following offensive boards.
The free throw line has continued to be a struggle for the Argos, leaving seven points off the board. The team went 15-for-22 (68%) from the line. UWF is shooting 66-percent from the charity stripe this season.
The Argos will have their first home game on Tuesday, Nov. 26 against Columbus State at 7:30 p.m.
