UWF in 11th Place After Opening Day of Lady Moc Classic

The Argos were in seventh place after the first round

LAKELAND, Fla. – The 40th-ranked UWF women's golf team sits in 11th place after two rounds of the Lady Moc Classic. The Argonauts fired rounds of 304 and 310 for a 614 total at the Grasslands Golf and Country Club on Monday. Six of the teams still have a hole or two to finish on Tuesday morning.
 
UWF was led individually by Alexandra Seppanen, who signed for rounds of 78-76=154 and is in 43rd place.
 
UWF turned in a 304 in the morning round to slide in at seventh place among the 16-team field. The Argos combined for eight birdies in the final nine holes of the first round. The second round saw the team make six birdies with five coming on the back nine.
 
Alia Scotka and Kenzie Heba are tied for 49th at 155 as both players shot 76 and 79. Kate Kenthack and Millie Thompson are a shot apart at 157 and 158, respectively.
 
Thompson and Scotka both had three of their team-high four birdies in the first round. 
 
After the six teams complete the second round Tuesday morning, the final round will begin.
