Urruchua Posts Best Round at LeeAnn Noble Memorial

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The University of West Florida women's golf team finished in seventh place at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial that took place at Achasta Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday. The Argos shot 883 (+19) over the 54 holes. That score marked a new team record for the program. The team's best score previously happened in 2023 at the Lander's Savannah Lakes Invitational where the team shot 885. 

Lauren Patterson led the Argos individually with a 13th place finish shooting even par for the tournament. Patterson completed round one with a 70 (-2) and closed the tournament with a 70 (-2). In the second round the freshman had a strong first nine holes and was one under heading into the final nine holes where she was five over to record a 76 (+4).

The best round of the tournament belonged to Isabela Urruchua who shot a career-best 68 (-4) in the second round. Urruchua had seven birdies in the round which was also a best for the sophomore. Urruchua finished four over for the tournament.

Wingate won the LeeAnn Noble Memorial at -15.

The Argos have one more competition this fall season. UWF will play at the D2 Currahee Elite Invitational on Oct 27 and 28 hosted by Anderson (S.C.) at Currahee Golf Club.
