DESTIN, Fla. - UWF lowered its score by nine shots and maintained its sixth place standing following the second round of the Emerald Coast Collegiate at the Baytowne Golf Club on Monday.
UWF turned in a team score of 300, and enters Tuesday's final round at 609.
UWF recorded four scores in the 70s on the team tally, led by matching 74s from
Kate Kenthack and
Millie Thompson.
Kenzie Heba had another solid round with a 75 and
Alia Scotka signed for a 77, cutting six strokes off Sunday's score.
Thompson remained in the top 10 as she enters the final round tied for sixth at 3-over-par, 145. Heba made three birdies on the day and stayed at 22nd overall with a 151. Kenthack's 3-birdie day saw her move up 53 spots into 35th place at 155.
Isabella Yu Lee turned in a very strong round, shooting a 5-over-par 76 to climb into a tie for 47th place at 158.
Holland Davidson posted an 80 and is tied for 35th.
Samantha Schultz turned in her second rounds in the 70s and is tied for 43rd with a 78 and 79,
Alexandra Seppanen is tied for 80th after rounds of 81 and 83.
Flagler continues to lead the tournament after the Saints turned in an even par 284 on Monday. Central Missouri and UT Permian Basin are tied for second at 594 - 20 shots back of Flagler.
The field will tee off via a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on Tuesday with the UWF team competitors off holes 5-8 and the individuals on holes 17-18.
