PENSACOLA, Fla. --- #16 UWF baseball grabbed their 15
th win of the season after a 7-3 series opener victory at home over Christian Brothers. After trailing by a run, the Argos (15-6, 8-2 GSC) put five runs in the seventh inning to pull away from the Bucs (10-14, 5-8 GSC) and take the win.

Runs scored went back and forth between the teams. No team led by more than one run through the first six frames. Almost every time the Bucs put up a run, the Argos would answer in the following half inning.

The Bucs got on the board first with an RBI single in the second inning. The Argos responded in the bottom half with a run themselves.
Preston Moore led off the inning with a double and advanced to third in the next at bat.
Parker Tubb followed with a sacrifice bunt that brought Moore home.

The Bucs took the lead again in the third inning. The Argos tied the game at two-all in the fourth after being held to no hits in the third frame. On loaded bases, Tubb scored on a wild pitch.

A single hit occurred through the next two frames that kept the game at 2-2.

The Bucs regained the lead in the seventh inning but the Argos responded and more so in the bottom half. UWF scored five runs on three hits.
Jackson Grabsky led off the seventh frame with a walk and advanced to third on a single in the next at bat. Both runners were brought in on a two RBI outfield single to give UWF a 4-3 lead. UWF's score was extended to five on an RBI single by
Trent Jeffcoat. On two outs and a 5-3 lead, the Argos hung in and loaded the bases. Two runs were brought in by a Buc throwing error to widen to gap to 7-3. The Argos went through the order in the seventh and Grabsky concluded the inning.

Christian Brothers were held to zero hits in the final two innings.

The Argos has an 8-7 edge in hits. Jeffcoat and Rowell led with two hits apiece.

Dilan Lawson stepped onto the mound in the sixth inning and got the win. He threw 2.1 innings and allowed no runs on no hits. Lawson tallied two strikeouts and improved to 4-0 on the season.

The Argos will play a doubleheader tomorrow (March 17) at Jim Spooner Field. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
