LAKELAND, Fla. - The UWF women's golf team sits in 12th place after the opening two rounds of play at the Lady Moc Classic 2.0.
UWF ended the 36-hole day with a 609 after rounds of 311 and 298 on the par 72 layout at The Club at Eaglebrooke. Top-ranked Dallas Baptist leads the 16-team field with a 577, seven shots ahead of No. 3 Flagler and No. 12 Lynn at 584.
Sophomore transfer
Isabella Yu Lee was the top finisher for the Argonauts on Monday, shooting a 76-74 to tie for 34th place at 150. She collected five birdies on the day, including four in the second round that saw her shoot a season-best 2-over-par. She has now played her last four rounds at 76 or better.
Junior
Alia Scotka also made a 2-shot improvement in the afternoon, signing for scores of 77 and 75. She is tied for 49th at 152 and made a team-best six birdies. Classmate
Kenzie Heba matched Lee with the low round for the Argos, posting a 74 after a 79 to move into a tie for 52nd position.
Senior
Kate Kenthack is tied for 60th at 154 and sophomore
Millie Thompson is tied for 75th following two rounds of 79.
The Argos will be grouped with Florida Southern and Embry-Riddle in Tuesday's final round. The teams will begin off Nos. 10-13 in the 8 a.m. Eastern time shotgun start.
