MOBILE, Ala. --- The University of West Florida baseball team grabbed a mid-week win over Spring Hill on the road Tuesday night.

Each team racked up double digit hits with the Badgers having a 17-16 edge, but the Argos still dominated in runs.

Cade Easterbrook led the game with a season-high four hits. Half of his hits were doubles.

A run was scored in eight consecutive innings between the teams with Argos finding a run in six frames.

Trailing 2-0 in the second,
Preston Moore hit a tie-game two-run homer to bring the score to 2-2. The Badgers found a pair of runs in the bottom half to regain the lead 4-2.

The Argos had a four-run, third inning performance to take a two-run lead. The four runs were scored in four back-to-back at bats.
Trent Jeffcoat led off the inning with a double and
Darrien McDowell followed with an intentional walk.
Dean Hotz brought Jeffcoat home for an RBI after reaching on an error. Up next,
Jadon Fryman stepped up to the plate. He sent McDowell around the bases with an RBI outfield single. Easterbrook's followed up with his first double of the day that resulted in an RBI to take a lead, 5-4. Jackson Grabky capped the inning with an RBI ground out.

The Badgers scored a pair of runs in the fourth to bring the game to a 6-6 tie. This was Spring Hill's third two-run inning performance.

The Argos went on to score nine runs in the next three frames while keeping the Badgers scoreless. In the fifth inning, Grabsky grabbed his second RBI on an outfield single. Now at a 7-6 lead, Fryman and Easterbrook grabbed their second RBIs each to extend the lead by three.

The Argos pounded six runs on four hits in the seventh inning to pull away.
Parker Tubb led off the inning with a single. Tubb was put in scoring position by an outfield single from Jeffcoat. A wild pitch brought Tubb home to begin the scoring for the inning. Fryman and Grabsky followed with two RBI doubles each to bring the score to 14-6. Fryman and Grabsky led with four RBI each. They both tied their season-high RBI record. Moore grabbed the final RBI of the inning and brought his total to three for the game.

Gabriel Moorer threw two strikeouts in the inning to keep the Badgers scoreless through their third consecutive inning.

UWF finished with a pair of runs in the eighth inning to bring the score to 17-6.

Moorer recorded his first win on the mound in 3.2 innings pitched. He threw a season-high four strikeouts and held the Badgers to no runs in his outing.

The Argos will play their final road regular season series at Auburn Montgomery Friday-Saturday.
