DAHLONEGA, Ga. --- The University of West Florida baseball team fell 9-3 in Tuesday's matchup on the road to North Georgia.

This is the Argos fourth PBC opponent to take on this season.

UWF scored a run in the third inning and a pair of runs in the eighth.

Riley Parker led off the third inning with a walk. He made his way around to third base after a single and ground out.
Trent Jeffcoat sent Parker home on an RBI ground out to tie the game at 1-1. The Nighthawks responded in the bottom half with five runs to regain their lead, 6-1.

North Georgia continued to score three totals runs in two consecutive innings to extend their lead to 9-1.

Darrien McDowell capped UWF's scoring in the eighth with a two-run homer. He extended his career home run record to 27 and shortened the Hawks gap by six.

The Argos recorded seven hits and were led by
Jadon Fryman with two.

Four pitchers made an appearance on the mound for UWF and threw a combined seven strikeouts.
Chase Stanhope and
Gabriel Moorer held the Nighthawks to no hits through an inning each.

UWF and UNG will be back at it to finish the series Wednesday, April 3 at 3:00 p.m. ET/ 2 p.m. CT at Bob Stein Stadium.
