MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The UWF Women's Soccer team continued their impressive season and beat Auburn University Montgomery 4-0 on Friday evening.
The Argos had a dominate first half. The team took 14 shots with 10 on goal, and scored twice.
Olof Thorvaldsdottir had the first goal in the 9
th minute. She scored off of a penalty kick. This is Thorvladsdottir's second penalty kick of the season and seventh goal of the season.
Senior
Megan Gettys found the back of the net for the Argos second goal in the 14
th minute. This is Gettys first goal of the season.
UWF kept the momentum going into the second half.
Hunter Wallace scored her fourth goal of the season, off of an assist by Thorvaldsdottir, in the 49
th minute.
Marianna Camacho Montufar scored her first goal of the season in the 60
th minute, to put the Argos up 4-0.
Belle Okoroafo recorded her fifth shutout of the season.
Remy Redmon recorded 20 minutes in the net.
UWF outshot the Warhawks 27-1, finding 14 on goal.
The Argos travel to Valdosta, Ga. on Sunday to play Valdosta State at 1 p.m.
