CLINTON, Miss. – The No. 16 University of West Florida volleyball team extended its winning streak to eight matches with a dominant 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-15) sweep over Mississippi College on Saturday afternoon at A.E. Wood Coliseum. The Argonauts improve to 15-3 overall and 8-0 in Gulf South Conference play.
West Florida controlled the match from start to finish, hitting .367 as a team while holding the Choctaws to a .175 clip.
Aniston Cochran led the offensive effort with 11 kills on .647 hitting, while
Kumara Flanagain added 10 kills and three blocks.
Reece Wright and
Magdalena Vongkasemsiri contributed seven and six kills, respectively, as the Argos spread the offense across multiple attackers.
Junior setter
Gabi Moulton continued to pace the UWF offense efficiently, finishing with 33 assists, 11 digs, and two service aces for a double-double performance. Defensively,
Maddie Mire contributed eight digs, helping the Argos out-dig Mississippi College 49-39. West Florida posted four blocks as a team, establishing defensive firepower at the net.
The Argonauts set the tone early with a .371 hitting percentage in the opening set and never looked back, finishing strong with a .375 mark in the third. The victory marks UWF's ninth sweep in 2025, and keeps the program undefeated in GSC play.
