PENSACOLA, Fla. - Per Ekelund was selected as the Gulf South Conference Golfer of the week following a tournament win at the Copperhead Championship in Palm Harbor, Fla. at Innisbrook Golf Resort. 

Ekelund not only helped the Argos win the tournament as a team, but won the individual title for his first tournament victory of the season. The junior finished with a five-under 208. Ekelund shot a pair of 71's in the first two rounds followed by a 66 (-5) in the third round to move himself up the leaderboard. 

The Argos came in at -11 under as a team in the tournament which was 11 shots better than the second place team.
